We had a bit of a rough start to 2013. Everyone got sick. At least once. Some of us twice. Coughing, sinus problems, fevers... fun times! So, it was a slow start to 2013. No one seemed to complain with the frequent naps and movies. But, once we were all feeling better, off we went!
Our first outing of the year was Adventure Zone! The girls had been asking about it for months and finally we were able to go. This is an indoor gym for kids with lots of slides, A ball pit, ropes to swing on, ladders to climb, rope bridges, and all sorts of fun stuff. Julia, Miss Dare-Devil, tried them all immediately. The first time we went, Chloe would barely go down the slide WITH mom or dad, let alone by herself. This time she went down the slide, by herself, leaning forward to gain more speed. Go Chloe! Liam was wide-eyed and very alert the whole time. So many noises, so many colors, and lots of little bodies dashing in every direction!
Damon took off some time from work, and before his vacation ended, we also got in a nice lunch at Sliders Station. Chloe has finally expanded her palette to include ground beef. Finally. Hamburgers are such an easy, on the go meal you can find anywhere! (It's hard to travel with a picky eater). Maybe she finally realized you eat it with ketchup.
| Not sure he's comfy, but SHE'S HAPPY! Loves her role as big sister! |
Liam is one happy little guy. He laughs and talks a lot. His sisters give him "raspberries" on his belly, making him giggle. He pulls up his knees and whips them over to one side or the other, trying to roll over. Not there yet, but getting close! Sometimes he can startle himself!
So, 2013, here we go!
